- 1995: WasteCap was established with funding from the Recycling Market Development Board, marking the start of our journey.

- 2022: Helped Lands’ End Headquarters achieve TRUE Certification, a globally recognized zero-waste standard.

This is one of our most practical tools for connecting businesses and individuals with recycling resources. It was originally published as a hard-copy directory but went digital in 2021. The online platform allows users to find haulers, processors, and drop-off locations for all kinds of materials across Wisconsin. It’s a one-stop resource to help manage waste responsibly and easily.

RE-TRAC PARTNERSHIP (2021 - Present)
In 2021, we partnered with Re-TRAC, a powerful software platform for managing and measuring waste diversion. Businesses use it to track recycling data, monitor progress, and create detailed reports. This partnership has made waste tracking more efficient and data-driven.

RAZED & FOUND
Razed & Found was an exciting project focused on reusing materials from deconstruction projects. It included workshops, a retail store, and hands-on deconstruction services. This program helped reduce landfill waste by giving materials like wood, doors, and fixtures a new life. Though it ended in 2019, its impact on promoting reuse continues to inspire.

Success Stories
MILWAUKEE COUNTY STADIUM DECONSTRUCTION
This project is one of our proudest achievements. We worked with partners to deconstruct the Milwaukee County Stadium, diverting 95% of materials from landfills. This effort saved $1.2 million in demolition costs and showcased how sustainable practices can deliver both environmental and financial benefits.
