WasteCap member Busch Systems provided containers for office and warehouse use to ensure proper disposal of waste to landfill, recycling or compost.
Throughout the year, WasteCap team members take educational field trips to continue their education and increase their awareness of topics pertaining to sustainability, the environment, and waste reduction.
When appropriate, WasteCap encourages employees to conduct walking meetings to enjoy fresh air and time away from screens.
WasteCap’s garden and compost provide vegetables to encourage the team to spend more time outside. The garden also serves as a gathering place for employees to chat and unwind after the workday.
Spending time with coworkers in a non-work related setting allows for time to get to know each other, which makes a team stronger. That is why WasteCap members organize regular social gatherings. Previous gatherings include: garden bonfires, annual grill out and lunch break board games.
WasteCap annually volunteers at events like Rock the Green, Doors Open Milwaukee, Near West Side’s Farmers Market and more to continuously support the Milwaukee community.
