Put an End to Junk Mail:
Stop Wasting Time,
Money, and Resources
Almost every day your organization (and your home)
probably receives some form of junk mail whether it is merchandise
catalogs, postcard advertisements, or information on how to claim a prize
you’ve supposedly won.
Although your organization may be content with
recycling unwanted mailings, those that receive a considerable amount of
junk mail should seriously consider reducing the junk mail at the source.
By limiting the amount of
junk mail entering your business you will:
·
Save on employees time spent sorting the mail (especially in
large organizations that have their own mail department).
·
Reduce your company’s waste disposal fee (even if your
organization is recycling, it’s more than likely it is paying for the
service).
·
Save the resources that are being used to produce the
mailings.

“…unsolicited 3rd class mail is fast becoming
a 1st class environmental disaster. Each year, some 63 billion pieces of
junk mail are mailed to addresses in the U.S. Every single one of the
Postal Service's 293,000 carriers personally delivers over 13 tons of junk
mail a year. That's about 34 pounds per person and a staggering 4 million
annual tons for the country as a whole.”
