An easy way to save money while reducing waste...buy recycled computer disks

In this day and age we are all busily at work on our computers. And what better way to save all this hard work then on recycled diskettes.

Recycled diskettes could have joined the 4 million disks that end up in a landfill or incinerator each day, creating a trash pile of over 1 billion disks per year. Instead these disks are the products of remanufacturers who are refurbishing outdated and unsold products from software companies. The old packaging is recycled and the disks are magnetically erased, reformatted, and relabeled. Since only premium grade disks are used for software, the recycled diskettes are high quality. They typically pass three quality control tests - the original manufacturer, the software publisher, and then the remanufacturer.

Rather than recreating existing products from raw materials, companies are simply transforming the diskettes. Purchasing the recycled disks not only reduces waste, but it saves money. The cost of a recycled diskette may be about 20%-40% less than virgin disks.
