Save Money and Resources:
Buy Remanufactured Toner Cartridges

Whenever you replace a printer or copier toner cartridge, you have an opportunity to save money and resources by using remanufactured toner cartridges. Suppliers of remanufactured cartridges will refill your empty cartridges, replacing parts as necessary.

Reasons to purchase remanufactured cartridges:

  • Almost all suppliers will guarantee that the quality and quantity of copies using a remanufactured cartridge will match or exceed that of an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
  • A remanufactured cartridge can cost 25% - 60% less than a non-recycled cartridge.
  • Remanufactured toner and ink jet cartridges are available for virtually all types of copiers and printers that use replaceable cartridges.
  • It takes a fraction of the energy to remanufacture a cartridge compared to making a new one. Furthermore, all of the parts in the toner cartridge can be replaced if damaged or worn allowing the cartridge to be used almost endlessly, thereby conserving our natural resources.

There are many cartridge remanufactures in Massachusetts.  A list of providers is provided in the Recycled Product Suppliers Directory, available to download on Wastecap’s Publications Web page (www.wastecap.org/wastecap/publications.htm), or you can call WasteCap at (617) 236-7715 and have a hard copy sent to you.
