The APC's site contains information on resources conserved by using plastic and lists recycled products in "The Shop Recycled Mall." 

Buy Recycled Business Alliance

BRBA is a partnership of the National Recycling Coalition and has chapters in states across the nation.  This site contains the latest tips and trends in buying recycled, a forum where users can ask questions about recycled products and see previous discussions, and  The Buyers Information Center, which includes product listings.  

Conservatree
Conservatree provides research and information on recycled content sheets and availability. 

EcoMall
This site contains the "Green Shopping Magazine," "The Corporate Environmentalist" which is a publication for companies that are environmentally conscious, and information on ecologically sound products including cleaning supplies, construction materials, energy conservation devices, recycled products, and office supplies.

Eco-$mart, Inc.
Created and operated under a license from non-profit Florida House Institute for Sustainable Development, Eco-$mart facilitates sustainable construction and remodeling.   This site includes information on commercial and residential products. 

Environmental Building News
This site offers articles, reviews, and news stories on energy-efficient, resource-efficient, and healthy building practices. Resources include the EBN Product Catalog, which lists environmentally-preferable products and materials.

Environmental Defense Fund
This site offers general information on environmental benefits of buying recycled, four types of packaging with traditionally high percentages of post-consumer recycled content, and "Read the Label!" which explains how to identify recycled content products.  

Environmental Design & Construction
Magazine that addresses numerous aspects of environmentally-sound building design & construction including recycled building products, energy efficiency, alternative energy sources, indoor air quality, systems of waste disposal and reuse, etc.

Environmental Protection Agency:  Buy Recycled/WasteWise
This site defines common buying recycled terms, outlines how to start buying recycled, and includes a cost comparison of recycled content products and virgin content products.  

Chelsea Center: Massachusetts Recycled Products Manufacturers Listing

Created in 1995 by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Chelsea Center creates jobs, supports recycling efforts, and helps the economy and the environment by working to increase manufacturers' use of recyclables.  

Environmental Protection Agency:   Energy Star Programs & Products
Federally-sponsored program that promotes energy-efficient models of computers, printers, fax machines, and copiers. Energy-efficient lighting is part of the Green Lights program, and the Energy Star Buildings program addresses heating, cooling, and air handling in commercial buildings.  Commercial/Building products are featured here, as well as programs for small businesses.

Furniture ReSolutions International
Site has a database of previously owned, high quality office furniture being sold up to 85% off the list price.

Green Building Resource Guide
This site contains a database of over 600 green building materials and products, "Energy Notes: which review issues in the building industry, and a salvaged building materials exchange.

Green Purchasing Network
The Green Purchasing Network (GPN) promotes green purchasing among consumers, companies and governmental organizations in Japan.  This site contains Environmental Data Books that compare the environmental attributes of products. 

Green Seal
Green Seal is an independent, nonprofit organization which promotes the manufacture and sale of environmentally-preferable consumer products. It sets environmental standards and awards a "Green Seal of Approval" to products that cause less harm to the environment than other similar products. Certified products, including re-refined oil, recycled papers, and paints, are listed in the products database.

Janitorial Products Pollution Prevention Project
The Janitorial Products Pollution Prevention Project talked with janitors about the cleaning products they used, assessed the number of accidents involving chemicals and janitors, reviewed products, and developed fact sheets, product sample kits, and purchasing specifications.

King County (WA) Environmental Purchasing
King County runs an extensive recycling and buying recycled program.  This site contains information on King County's purchasing program, construction and landscaping materials, and office and automotive parts. 

New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Recycling & Planning
This buy recycled site includes links for building materials, paper products, apparel, and more.

This site contains a description of remanufacturing, a list of products that are remanufactured, and reviews issues facing the remanufacturing industry.

King County (WA) Environmental Procurement Bulletin #19 reviews resources for how to build in an environmentally friendly manner. 

Steel Recycling Institute
SRI promotes and sustains the recycling of all steel products.  This site contains information on construction materials, appliances, cars, and cans. 

Sustainable Building Sourcebook
The City of Austin's (Texas) Green Builder Program supports this extensive Sourcebook, which includes comprehensive sections on water, energy, building materials, and solid waste.

Tire Retread Information Bureau
Information on this site includes why to buy retread tires, facts about retreads, and how to buy or sell retreads.
