Program
What are WasteCap Site Visits? WasteCap Site Visits are
facility-specific waste assessments of businesses and institutions. Site visits
rely on teams from WasteCap's professional volunteer network of waste-reduction
specialists who make specific recommendations about improving your organizations
solid waste disposal program. WasteCap
volunteers come from a broad spectrum of industries and have experience finding and
addressing opportunities to conserve corporate and natural resources.
Why should my organization request a
Site Visit? A Site Visit will
help your organization identify opportunities to
save money by developing
source reduction and recycling strategies that cut waste
disposal costs.
How much does a
Site Visit cost?
WasteCap charges a
nominal fee of $250.00.

Should you decide to request a Site
Visit, you must complete a Site Visit questionnaire.
This will help us form a volunteer team and prepare materials for the visit.

Recycling Cooperatives
A business recycling cooperative is a group of businesses, located in a single
geographic area, that recycle the same material through a shared hauler. Cooperatives can
provide small businesses convenient and affordable access to recycling services. As of
January of 2001, WasteCap has established 13 recycling cooperatives in
Massachusetts.

Recycled Paper Purchasing
Cooperative (RPPC)
WasteCap is the New England affiliate of the
RPPC, a program dedicated to increasing the use of recycled copy paper nationwide. The RPPC uses its purchasing power to secure deep
discounts on high quality recycled copy paper for its members. View

Recycled Business Alliance (MBRBA)
WasteCap co-manages the MBRBA, which encourages businesses to purchase products made
with recycled content by providing technical assistance, publications, workshops, and
presentations about recycled products.

Surplus Inventory Donation Program
(SIDP)
The SIDP saves you the cost and liability
associated with disposal by matching buyers to your organizations unwanted assets. This
program can find outlets for your organizations excess inventory, used equipment,
returned orders, office furnishings, and more. Contact WasteCap for further

Race-to-Recycle
The Race-to-Recycle is a annual recycling competition among
Massachusetts office buildings to determine which can recycle the greatest percentage of
its waste during a 3 month period. Winners are awarded trophies and are recognized at an
