The Supermarket ROI shows your management team in a
detailed, step-by-step manner how to design, implement, and sustain a
recycling program which diverts discarded food, waxed and wet cardboard,
renderings, soil, and plants for composting. The program also
addresses the recycling of stretch wrap, shrink wrap, plastic bags,
cardboard, and other materials.
The Supermarket ROI is designed to:
-
Save supermarkets $$
for years to come.
-
Recycle organics and
other materials in a simple fashion without affecting other operations.
-
Improve your community image by recycling valuable
natural resources and saving scarce landfill capacity.
The ROI is a successful, field-tested program
developed expressly for the Massachusetts supermarket industry. Over
the next five months, the MA DEP is funding WasteCap to provide free
assistance to a number of supermarkets. Our goal is to fund the startup of
one store for each chain that is interested in joining the ROI. We
will try to meet the needs of as many supermarkets as possible, but because
of limited funding, acceptance into the program will be on a first come,
first serve basis.
We urge you to contact WasteCap at your earliest
convenience to sign on to this innovative, cost cutting program and improve
your return on investment!
