What are Site Visits?

WasteCap Site Visits are facility-specific waste assessments of businesses and institutions. Site Visits rely on teams from WasteCap's professional staff and network of waste reduction-specialists who make specific recommendations about improving an organization’s waste management program. WasteCap waste reduction specialists come from a broad spectrum of industries and have experience finding and addressing opportunities to save money and conserve natural resources.

 How Does the Process Work?

  1. Contact WasteCap  - Call 781-679-2176 today or e-mail wastecap@wastecap.org requesting a Site Visit.  A representative will decide if the Site Visit program is right for your organization. 
     
  2. Select a Payment Option: The Site Visit service fee will be determined by the size of your facility and volume of waste generated. You have the option to prepay or be billed after the visit. 
     
  3. Fill Out the Questionnaire  -  This will give WasteCap information about your current program and your priorities for the Site Visit. Click here to download the online questionnaire (123 KB in .PDF file format)

  4. Conduct a Conference Call - WasteCap will speak with your organizations’ representatives, via a conference call, to review your questionnaire and better understand your needs before the visit.  
     
  5. WasteCap Will Select a Specialist WasteCap has a network of waste-reduction specialists from diverse backgrounds.  We will select a waste-reduction specialist, who is well suited in your organizations waste management needs, to accompany the WasteCap staff on the Site Visit.
     
  6. The Site Visit - Depending on your organization’s needs and facility size the visits can range from three to five hours. The visit consists of a tour of all aspects of waste management in your facilities. WasteCap uses the Site Visit time to view and analyze your waste management program first hand.
     
  7. Site Visit Report -  Using the information collected at the Site Visit WasteCap will generate a report with specific recommendations. Once completed, WasteCap will review the report with you, either in person or via conference call.
     
  8. Continued Assistance - Program recipients are free to call WasteCap, at no additional charge, for any additional technical assistance questions after the Site Visit.
