Race-to-Recycle Updates:

The 2004 Race-To-Recycle is Cancelled

It is with sincere regret that I, on behalf of the Board of Directors I have to inform you that the 2004 Race-to-Recycle will be cancelled. Due to a reduction in program funding as well as lack of staff, WasteCap will not have adequate resources to continue the Race this year.

We at WasteCap realize and appreciate the incredible efforts that Race participants have put into this program and hope you understand why we had to cancel the Race. This was an extremely hard decision for the both the Board and staff at WasteCap.

Although the Race-to-Recycle will be cancelled, the Board of Directors is still committed to keeping WasteCap open and relevant. The board is working on both a transition plan and strategic plan that will position WasteCap to help businesses continue to reduce their environmental impacts while helping their bottom lines. During this period WasteCap will maintain its webpage resources at www.wastecap.org  and will continue to provide over-the-phone and email technical assistance.
